Emma and Jack met in the fall of 2023 at a Bible study, when Jack’s bold introduction—sprinting across the room to encourage Emma to share the gospel—sparked a light-hearted friendship. Co-leading their church’s chili cook-off teams and spending time together at coffee and events helped that friendship deepen. Before long, Jack was driving Emma to Wednesday evening Bible study and always the first to ask her to dance at Harry’s. Their time serving together as Impact counselors made his feelings clear; not long after, Jack asked Emma on their first official date, and within two weeks they began dating.
Over the next two years, their relationship was marked by faithfulness in everyday moments and in bigger gestures, including a 26-hour journey Jack made to visit Emma while she served at camp in Missouri. Jack deeply admires Emma’s intentional kindness and how she makes others feel seen, while Emma treasures Jack’s joyful, outgoing spirit and his genuine care for those around him.
After many shared adventures, Jack proposed on the Brazos River—the same place they kayaked the year before—creating a meaningful full-circle moment. They are grateful for the Lord’s guidance in their relationship and look forward to continuing to follow Him together as they prepare to be married in Austin, Texas.
